Regenerative braking is an important technology in electric vehicles (EVs) that absorbs kinetic energy during deceleration or braking and transforms it back to electrical energy. This procedure is critical for increasing the efficiency and range of EVs. With rising market demand for electric vehicles, it is critical to improve their mechanisms to increase total capacity and advantages to the automotive sector. The expanding trends in this sector promote the use of techniques that improve driving efficiency. Regenerative braking, when combined with dual control techniques, can increase battery power management and reduce vehicle stopping time, saving fuel and energy. Advanced fuzzy logic control algorithms improve performance by tackling nonlinear elements like speed and braking torque, resulting in higher energy recovery. This review paper discusses improvements and approaches in regenerative braking systems, with a particular emphasis on dual control strategies. The goal is to assess the efficacy of dual control techniques for increasing braking performance and energy recovery. We provide a comprehensive literature analysis to emphasize the merits and limits of these tactics, comparing them to standard single control approaches. In addition, we will use a MATLAB model to show the practical consequences of dual control techniques in real-world EV applications. Our findings will highlight the importance of dual control techniques in developing regenerative braking systems, which improve both efficiency and driving dynamics in electric vehicles.
