Here, we report a two-dimensional (2D) microporous covalent-organic framework (COF), poly(imide-benzoquinone), via in situ polymerization on graphene (PIBN-G) to function as a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Such a structure favors charge transfer from graphene to PIBN and full access of both electrons and Li⁺ ions to the abundant redox-active carbonyl groups, which are essential for battery reactions. This enables large reversible specific capacities of 271.0 and 193.1 mAh g^-1 at 0.1 and 10 C, respectively, and retention of more than 86 % after 300 cycles. The discharging/charging process successively involves 8 Li⁺ and 2 Li⁺ in the carbonyl groups of the respective imide and quinone groups. The structural merits of PIBN-G will trigger more investigations into the designable and versatile COFs for electrochemistry.1e:T41b,Organic and polymer materials have been extensively investigated as electrode materials for rechargeable batteries because of the low cost, abundance, environmental benignity, and high sustainability. To date, organic electrode materials have been applied in a large variety of energy storage devices, including nonaqueous Li-ion, Na-ion, K-ion, dual-ion, multivalent-metal, aqueous, all-solid-state, and redox flow batteries, because of the universal properties of organic electrode materials. Moreover, some organic materials enable the batteries to be operated in the extreme conditions, such as a wide temperature range (-70 to 150 °C), a wide pH range, and in the presence of O₂. As a guidance for the research in organic batteries, this Review focuses on the reaction mechanisms and applications of organic electrode materials. Six categories of reaction mechanisms and the applications of organic and polymer materials in various rechargeable batteries are discussed to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art organic batteries.1f:T53a,Abstract Sodium (Na) metal is a promising alternative to lithium metal as an anode material for the next‐generation energy storage systems due to its high theoretical capacity, low cost, and natural abundance. However, dendritic/mossy Na growth caused by uncontrollable plating/stripping results in serious safe concerns and rapid electrode degradation. This study presents Sn 2+ pillared Ti 3 C 2 MXene serving as a stable matrix for high‐performance dendrite‐free Na metal anode. The intercalated Sn 2+ between Ti 3 C 2 layers not only induces Na to nucleate and grow within Ti 3 C 2 interlayers, but also endows the Ti 3 C 2 with larger interlayer space to accommodate the deposited Na by taking advantage of the “pillar effect,” contributing to uniform Na deposition. As a result, the pillar‐structured MXene‐based Na metal electrode could enable high current density (up to 10 mA cm −2 ) along with high areal capacity (up to 5 mAh cm −2 ) over long‐term cycling (up to 500 cycles). The full cell using MXene‐based Na metal anode exhibits superior electrochemical performance than that using host‐less commercial Na.
