Abstract

Improving the reliability and efficiency of heating and water supply systems in industrial and housing utility services is an important problem for countries with uncertain climates and severe temperature changes. Temperature changes impact the pressure ratio in the pipe and the surroundings, which may lead to pipe break due to the presence of an airvapor mixture in the heat carrier medium. Removing air from pipelines is required by the operating procedures of heating systems. Currently, this is done in the main and distribution heating systems and it is usually performed manually. During the manual removal of air, some of the heat carrier medium is discharged as well. The manual technology makes maintaining a low content of air within the system throughout the entire heating and repair periods practically impossible. Using an automated air valve to optimize the operation of heating systems, as well as direct and reverse heating water pipelines with a software package allows for the monitoring of the air content, prompt decision-making, and detection of pre-emergencies. This article analyzes the use of wireless sensors and real-time data transfer methods for smart city systems. The authors suggest integrating technological solutions and Industrial Internet of Things systems to monitor the air content in heating system pipelines. Authors developed a wireless air content sensor for heating and water supply systems. To visualize and protect the transferred data, there are data transfer algorithms for the local network and the MQTT server.
