The major goal of this paper is to provide a method that uses technology to make medication available to those in need and the work of medical personnel easier. The project is divided into 2 sections: the design of a system with a programming interface that comprises of an LCD, as well as the cration of a mechanical unit that will store the pills and dispense them at a certain time and day. This research study has presented a working model of the smart pill box setup that can reduce the mistakes done while taking pills regularly and can restrict the elderly people from taking the wrong pills at the wrong time. The setup requires a caretaker to manage the tablet details such as name, quantity and timings and a pharmacist to get notified when the tablets are empty using a text message notification as well as the mobile application for refilling the smart pill box when empty.
