Coronary Atherosclerosis Phenotypes in Focal and Diffuse Disease

Abstract

Atherosclerotic plaque phenotypes associate with intracoronary hemodynamics. Focal CAD had a higher plaque burden and was predominantly lipid-rich with a high prevalence of TCFA, whereas calcifications were more prevalent in diffuse CAD.
