A new approach to synthesize graphene was applied by reduction of graphene oxide using ascorbic acid. Chitosan/graphene modified electrode could be employed for simultaneous determination of dopamine and ascorbic acid. The modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of DA and AA. The calibration curves for DA and AA were obtained in the range of 0.3-1067.5μM and 0.6-1378.1μM, respectively. Detection limits were 0.1μM and 0.01μM for DA and AA, respectively. The present method was applied to the determination of AA and DA in human serum samples and the results were quite promising.
