Various NH4MnPO4·H2O micro-nanostructures have been synthesized through a facile method without any surfactants or templates. All of the samples consist of the minimal basal unit nanosheet. Furthermore, porous micro-nanostructured manganous pyrophosphate (Mn2P2O7) materials have been obtained by thermal decomposition of as-synthesized NH4MnPO4·H2O in the air. More importantly, we have successfully explored the application of micro-nanostructured NH4MnPO4·H2O and Mn2P2O7 as electrochemical capacitors. The study of electrochemical measurements shows that micro- nanostructures affect their electrochemical properties. Different nano-microstructured NH4MnPO4·H2O and Mn2P2O7 samples have different electrochemical properties.
