Heaviness, radiation protection, and thermal dissipation are key problems of airborne and space, but also other sectors such as automotive or user electronics. Nowadays, each of mentioned issues is fixed through different solutions. Within this work, the multifunctional nanocomposites based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) are showed. Such nanocomposite comprises the functionality of pure PVDF, namely excellent chemical resistance, flame retardancy, UV resistance, high work temperature, etc., with features arisen from using GNP as a filler, which are effective thermal conductivity (up to 5.34 W/mK), superior thermal properties, electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (up to ∼40 dB in 5 GHz), electrical conductivity (up to 40 S/cm). The presented results are prospective from point of view of replacing different elements into one, combining their functions based on the new generation of composite materials.
