Comparison of the efficacy of pericapsular nerve group block (PENG) block versus suprainguinal fascia iliaca block (SFIB) in total hip arthroplasty: A randomized control trial

Abstract

US-guided PENG block significantly reduces perioperative morphine consumption and pain scores in THA patients when compared to SFI block. It is not associated with quadriceps weakness as seen in SFIB.
