To realize high‐performance UV PDs, heterojunctions are created to form a built‐in electrical field for suppressing recombination of photogenerated carriers and promoting collection efficiency. In this progress report, the fundamental components of heterojunctions including UV response semiconductors and other materials functionalized with unique effects are discussed. Then, strategies of building PDs with lattice‐matched heterojunctions, van der Waals heterostructures, and other heterojunctions are summarized. Finally, several applications based on heterojunction/heterostructure UV PDs are discussed, compromising flexible photodetectors, logic gates, and image sensors. This work draws an outline of diverse materials as well as basic assembly methods applied in heterojunction/heterostructure UV PDs, which will help to bring about new possibilities and call for more efforts to unleash the potential of heterojunctions.1e:T4e7,Flexible and self-powered photodetectors (PDs) are highly desirable for applications in image sensing, smart building, and optical communications. In this paper, a self-powered and flexible PD based on the methylammonium lead iodide (CH₃ NH₃ PBI₃ ) perovskite is demonstrated. Such a self-powered PD can operate even with irregular motion such as human finger tapping, which enables it to work without a bulky external power source. In addition, with high-quality CH₃ NH₃ PBI₃ perovskite thin film fabricated with solvent engineering, the PD exhibits an impressive detectivity of 1.22 × 10¹³ Jones. In the self-powered voltage detection mode, it achieves a large responsivity of up to 79.4 V mW^-1 cm^-2 and a voltage response of up to ≈90%. Moreover, as the PD is made of flexible and transparent polymer films, it can operate under bending and functions at 360 Â° of illumination. As a result, the self-powered, flexible, 360 Â° omnidirectional perovskite PD, featuring high detectivity and responsivity along with real-world sensing capability, suggests a new direction for next-generation optical communications, sensing, and imaging applications.1f:T54b,Abstract The functionalized conductive polymer is a promising choice for flexible triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) for harvesting human motion energy still poses challenges. In this work, a transparent and stretchable wrinkled poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4‐styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) electrode based TENG (WP‐TENG) is fabricated. The optimum conductivity and transparency of PEDOT:PSS electrode can reach 0.14 kΩ □ −1 and 90%, respectively, with maximum strain of ≈100%. Operating in single‐electrode mode at 2.5 Hz, the WP‐TENG with an area of 6 × 3 cm 2 produces an open‐circuit voltage of 180 V, short‐circuit current of 22.6 µA, and average power density of 4.06 mW m −2 . It can be worn on the wrist to harvest hand tapping energy and charge the capacitor to 2 V in ≈3.5 min, and then drive an electronic watch.
