VRP highlighted a multilevel of neuroprotection through anti-inflammatory activity, Ca<sup>2+</sup> blockage, and regulation of Ca<sup>2+</sup>-dependent genes. Furthermore, chronotherapy of VRP administration should be consider to achieve best therapeutic efficacy.
