Updates on the International Land Surface Interactions with the Atmosphere over the Iberian Semi-Arid Environment (LIAISE) Field Campaign

Abstract

The Global Energy and Water Exchanges (GEWEX) program, a core project of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), is dedicated to understanding Earth’s water cycle and energy fluxes at and below the surface and in the atmosphere. We are a network of scientists gathering information on the global water and energy cycles through research, observations, and science activities, which will help to predict changes in the world’s climate.The International GEWEX Project Office (IGPO) supports these activities by planning meetings, implementing research goals, and producing a quarterly newsletter to keep the GEWEX community informed. GEWEX Quarterly, is published online four times a year. It presents scientific research results, project updates, and meeting and workshop reports.
