Entanglement Distribution with Minimal Memory Requirements Using Time-Bin Photonic Qudits

Abstract

A qudit-based entanglement distribution protocol allows bypass of the strict memory requirements inflicted by the deleterious loss between transmission nodes and, as a result, boosts the performance of near-term quantum networks.
