• Application of photon-counting detector CT is superior to dual-source dual-energy integrating detector in clinical workup of multiple myeloma patients. • Compared to energy integrating detectors, photon-counting detectors significantly increase the spatial resolution of bone microstructure including disease-related lytic bone lesions in patients with multiple myeloma.
