Abstract

ASV targeted similar settings as standard of care consistent with lung-protective ventilation strategies in mostly passive subjects with ARDS. ASV delivered V<sub>T</sub> based upon respiratory mechanics, with lower V<sub>T</sub> and mechanical power in subjects with stiffer lungs.
