The Cover Feature shows catalytic hydrogenolysis of biobased furan aldehydes (5-methylfurfural, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural) into 2,5-dimethylfuran over various NiCo2O4-supported palladium catalysts. The oxygen defects, Lewis acidity, and Brønsted acidity of catalysts are systematically investigated, providing clear insights into the cooperative catalysis between different active sites.
