MDSCs have an immunosuppressive function by expanding FOXP3<sup>+</sup> Tregs and inhibiting CD4<sup>+</sup> T-cell proliferation in sepsis. GM-CSF treatment suppressed MDSCs, improved T-cell functionality, and reduced Tregs in circulation.
