Effect of collagen membrane fixation on ridge volume stability and new bone formation following guided bone regeneration

Abstract

Membrane fixation in contained defects failed to improve ridge volume stability regardless of the membrane type. However, it may enhance the width of the augmented ridge at the coronal portion depending on the type of membrane.
