PVC in cables for building and construction. Can the “European approach” be considered a good example for other countries?

Abstract

Nanocomposites have been shown to off er quite large reductions in the peak heat release rate in the cone calorimeter. Th is chapter examines many of these fi ndings and focuses especially on applications in the wire and cable industry. Nonetheless, the information is applicable to all industries to illustrate the role that a nanocom-posite may play in fi re retardant systems.
