Abstract

Stucco keratosis is an acral keratotic papule that occurs on the distal portions of the lower extremities and is acquired during the advance of years. When the lesion is removed, a peripheral collarette of scale remains without bleeding. Histopathological study shows epidermal hyperplasia of the "church-spire" pattern, accompanied by little or no dermal infiltrate. This common lesion, which is usually asymptomatic, probably goes unrecognized, because of its banal and inconspicuous nature.
