Abstract

This book is a new edition of<i>Craig and Faust's Clinical Parasitology</i>. It contains five sections: "General Information," "Protozoa and Protozoan Infections," "Helminths and Helminthic Infections," "Arthropods and Human Disease," and "Technical Appendix." In all, there are 49 chapters covering the entire spectrum of human parasites. Of the original work, the format, the general organization, and some of the illustrations are all that remain. This edition has been completely rewritten, not merely revised. Pictures of poor quality have been dropped and many excellent photographs and illustrations, both original and from the available literature, have been added. The most important contribution of this highly readable book is the compilation of the newer material accumulated during the last quarter of a century in the field of medical parasitology.
