Six years ago, this reviewer wrote, in regard to the first edition of this Manual: “Unless a reader has perused this book, he or she would not believe the vast amount of information which has been compiled and condensed within its covers. The number of pages does not give a true picture, for the book only measures 4″×6½″×1¾″. “Although the title page contains the sub-heading ‘A Handbook of Diagnosis and Therapy for the Veterinarian’ ” (in the original it read A Reference Handbook . . .) “and the Foreword states that ‘it has been designed to provide the veterinarian with a brief, convenient, yet adequate source of authoritative . . .
