Cloning and characterization of a novel insulin-regulated membrane aminopeptidase from Glut4 vesicles.

Vol. 270, p. 23612 Page 23613, line 26 and page 23617, Table I legend: “nmol/min” and “nmoles per min,” respectively, should both be changed to “nmolar per min.”Kevin B. Clairmont and John Hart (Bayer Corporation, West Haven, CT) have kindly informed us that they have completed the cloning of vp165 from a rat skeletal muscle cDNA library. Their derived amino acid sequence is identical to the one described in this paper from amino acid 1 through 908. Beyond position 908 their sequence differs and extends for 117 amino acids, rather than 8 amino acids. Consequently, the major form of expressed vp165 protein may be larger than the one presented here. This result does not alter the conclusions of this paper.
