Importance of the Relationship between Surface Phases and Photocatalytic Activity of TiO₂

Abstract

Förderliche Kontakte: Mithilfe kombinierter Oberflächenanalysetechniken wurde ein direkter Zusammenhang zwischen der photokatalytischen Aktivität von TiO2 und der Struktur der Oberflächenphase aufgedeckt. Die Aktivität kann deutlich gesteigert werden, wenn TiO2-Nanopartikel vom Anatas-Typ auf der Oberfläche von Rutil-TiO2 dispergiert werden und bei der Kalzinierung Anatas-Rutil-Kontaktstellen bilden (siehe Bild).
