Visible‐Light‐Induced Aerobic Oxidation of Alcohols in a Coupled Photocatalytic System of Dye‐Sensitized TiO₂ and TEMPO

Abstract

Sichtbar selektiver: Bei Bestrahlung mit sichtbarem (vis.) Licht übertragen angeregte Farbstoffmoleküle (Fst.) Elektronen auf TiO2 unter Bildung von Farbstoffradikalen, die TEMPO zu TEMPO+ oxidieren können. TEMPO+ wiederum oxidiert Alkohole in Gegenwart von O2 selektiv zu den jeweiligen Aldehyden. Ein Grund für die Selektivität ist, dass die Bestrahlung mit sichtbarem Licht und nicht mit UV-Licht stattfindet.
