Gel aus Öl: Zwei Supergelbildner auf Zuckerbasis können Öle verfestigen, wobei hoch transparente Gele mit glasähnlichen Brechungsindices entstehen. Diese Gele zeigen eine geringe Durchlässigkeit im UV-Bereich und eine hohe für sichtbares Licht und zeichnen sich zudem durch eine bemerkenswerte Selbstheilungsfähigkeit aus.
