Total Synthesis and Determination of the Absolute Configuration of (+)‐Intricatetraol

Abstract

Ein Sieg der Synthese: Aus der Totalsynthese des marinen Triterpenpolyethers (+)-Intricatetraol (1) ließ sich die Absolutkonfiguration ableiten, was mithilfe spektroskopischer Methoden nicht möglich war. Das Verfahren umfasst den enantioselektiven Aufbau der ungewöhnlichen vicinalen Brom-Chlor-Funktionalität und eine effiziente Olefinmetathese, die von der C2-Symmetrie der Zielverbindung profitiert.
