Abstract

The concentration of acetoxymethyl ester of fluo-3 given in the subsection ‘Measurement of [Ca2+]i’ of the ‘Materials and methods’ on page 512 of the above paper was incorrect. The corresponding sentence should read as follows: Oocytes were loaded with the [Ca2+]i indicator fluo-3 (Minta et al., 1989) by incubation for 45 min at 37°C with 2 μM acetoxymethyl ester of fluo-3 (fluo-3/AM, Sigma) dissolved in B2 medium.
