Biomimetic Total Synthesis of (±)‐Merochlorin A

Inspiriert: Die vorgeschlagene biosynthetische Route zum antibiotischen Meroterpenoid (±)-Merochlorin A diente als Inspiration für seine Totalsynthese. Schlüsselschritte sind eine Eintopf-Aromatisierung-Alkylierung, gefolgt von einer biomimetischen oxidativen Dearomatisierung eines hochfunktionalisierten Naphthalinderivats, die in einem Schritt zu zwei Ringen und vier benachbarten Stereozentren führt.
