Fesselnde Poren: Kupferionen wurden in den senkrechten Kanälen einer mesoporösen SiO2-Schale um einen Fe3O4-Kern immobilisiert. Dank der gut zugänglichen Mesoporen, der großen Porenoberfläche und der großen Menge an Cu2+-Ionen in den Kanälen gelingt der selektive Einfang von hydrophoben und hydrophilen Peptiden aus komplexen biologischen Proben mit anschließender magnetischer Abtrennung und MS-Analyse (siehe Bild).
