Preparation, Purification, Characterization, and Cytotoxicity Assessment of Water‐Soluble, Transition‐Metal‐Free Carbon Nanotube Aggregates

Abstract

Die Risikobeurteilung für Kohlenstoffmaterialien, ein wichtiges Thema der Nanomaterialforschung, wurde durch den Mangel an charakterisierbaren Proben erschwert. Die hier vorgestellten übergangsmetallfreien Kohlenstoff-Nanohornaggregate – kovalent gebundene Aggregate von Einzelwand-Nanoröhren – wurden in wasserlösliche Derivate überführt (siehe Bild), die zur Ermittlung der Cytotoxizität mit Zellen inkubiert wurden.
