Abstract

aquaculture products has led to an increase in activities related to development of new farms. As natural food is not enough to support high production in intensive aquaculture, artificial feed is needed. In particular, efficient diets formulated according to specific metabolic needs of these organisms are important. However, the intake of sufficient amounts of nutrients by an organism depends on its ability to select and digest them and the capacity of its digestive enzymes It is thus important to understand the profile of these digestive enzymes, as this can be used as a tool to develop feeds specific to the species' metabolic needs.
