Eins nach dem anderen: Bei einer Methode für oxidative C-H/C-H-Kreuzkupplungen werden aromatische Verbindungen mit Aryl-Radikalkationen umgesetzt, die zuvor durch Tieftemperaturelektrolyse in Form eines „Radikalkationen-Reservoirs“ erzeugt wurden (siehe Schema). Das Verfahren umgeht sowohl die unselektive Oxidation der Substrate als auch die Oxidation der Produkte.
