Selective Binding and Easy Separation of C₇₀ by Nanoscale Self‐Assembled Capsules

Abstract

Fein säuberlich verpackt: Die hoch selektive Abtrennung von C70 und höheren Fullerenen gelingt glatt durch Fest-flüssig-Extraktion mit einem 2-Ureido-4-[1H]-pyrimidinon-Derivat, das eine dimere Kapsel um die Gastspezies aufbaut (siehe Bild), sodass diese in THF löslich wird. Beim Ansäuern bricht das Wasserstoffbrücken-Netzwerk auf, die Gastspezies wird isoliert, und der Rezeptor ist ohne aufwändige (z. B. chromatographische) Trennung erneut einsatzbereit.
