Copper(II)‐Catalyzed <i>meta‐</i>Selective Direct Arylation of α‐Aryl Carbonyl Compounds

Abstract

Konkurrenzkampf: Eine Methode für die meta-selektive Arylierung des äußerst vielseitigen α-Arylcarbonyl-Motivs durch Verwendung von Diaryliodoniumsalzen wird beschrieben. In diesem CuII-katalysierten Prozess vermag die entfernt stehende Carbonylgruppe sogar stark para-dirigierende Gruppen unter Bildung der üblicherweise schwer zugänglichen meta-Produkte auszustechen (siehe Schema).
