Abstract

Freiheit und Kontrolle: Analyse und Mutation der Aureothin(1)-Synthase lieferten Einblicke in die ungewöhnliche programmierte Iteration eines Polyketidsynthase(PKS)-Moduls. Die erste Ketosynthase(KS)-Domäne kontrolliert PKS-Beladung und Intermediat-Retrotransfer. Einfügen eines speziellen Lademoduls resultiert im vollständigen Verlust der Iteration.
