Abstract

Die Fluorierung bringt es ans Licht: Die Titelreaktion erfordert lediglich eine wässrige alkalische Lösung von Selectfluor und die Bestrahlung mit Licht. Die Methode kann eine Vielzahl neutraler und elektronenarmer 2-Aryloxy- und 2-Arylessigsäuren in Fluormethylether (siehe Schema) bzw. Benzylfluoride überführen. Der Mechanismus beginnt vermutlich mit der Photoanregung des Arylrests, an die sich ein Einelektronentransfer anschließt.
