Abstract

Der Starke ist am mächtigsten allein: In den Poren eines MOF (hellblau im Bild) können Moleküle eines hoch reaktiven MnIII(μ-O)2MnIV-Wasseroxidationskatalysators (mehrfarbige Kugeln) isoliert werden. Das resultierende System katalysiert die Wasseroxidation bei minimierten intermolekularen Neben- und Zerfallsreaktionen. Auf diese Weise kann die Lebensdauer reaktiver Katalysatoren verlängert werden, ohne ihre molekulare Struktur verändern zu müssen.
