Schlag auf Schlag: Funktionalisierte achtgliedrige Carbocyclen sind auf direktem Weg aus einfachen allylsubstituierten 5-Hexin-1-ol-Derivaten zugänglich. Dies gelingt durch eine katalytische Tandemsequenz aus 6-exo-Cycloisomerisierung und Prins-Cyclisierung (siehe Schema).
