Abstract

We report experimental and theoretical results of power generation characteristics of a 1 kW class fully High Temperature Superconducting Induction/Synchronous Generator (HTS-ISG) that consists of a stator winding using REBCO tape and a rotor winding using BSCCO tape. The bending diameter of REBCO stator winding is 20 mm and its average critical current is 90 A at 77 K. As a result of experiments at liquid nitrogen temperature, we succeeded in a power generation test exceeding 500 W. From this result, we could demonstrate the possibility of a small-sized fully superconducting generator.
