The influence of aggressive operational factors of a gas field on resistance of steels in the presence of CO2 is studied. A corrosion attack of CO2 and aqueous medium at a constant contact and under moisture condensation on the steel surface of pipeline steels (09Mn2Si, X65, and others) is evaluated. It is established that the film condensed from a moisture vapor phase may cause the formation of hazardous localized defects in steels (pits, holes). The intensity of corrosion manifestations is affected by the amount of moisture, the evaporation of which depends on the value of temperature gradient between the steel surface and the medium.
