Abstract

Abstract The literature of catalysis is vast, reflecting the industrial importance of the subject. For the sake of curiosity, we undertook a computerized search of Chemical Abstracts to trace the number of publications per year, using the generic form "Cataly" and, for catalyst poisoning, the simultaneous occurrence of the generic forms "Cataly" and "Poison" beginning with the year 1967 and ending with 1978, the last reasonably complete computer file at the time of this writing.
