Patellar tendon stiffness, assessed with shear-wave elastography, is unsuitable to use as a single predictive measurement for clinical outcome. Decreasing stiffness during the course of exercise therapy is associated with improved clinical outcome in athletes recovering from patellar tendinopathy.
