Abstract

Reliable and timely information on chronic and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and their risk factors are fundamental for informing the development, implementation and evaluation of NCDs-related health policy. The China Chronic Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance (CCDRFS) is series of ongoing periodical nationally representative crosssectional surveys among Chinese adults on their chronic health conditions (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidaemia, stroke, myocardial infarction, cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and related risk factors (e.g. smoking, harmful drinking, physical inactivity and unbalanced diet).
