Isolation and Grouping of RNA Phages

Abstract

Approximately 30 strains of RNA phages were isolated from human feces and sewage water. All of them were male specific and sensitive to RNase. These RNA phages were separated in 3 groups (group I, II, and III) both by a serological method and by a Millipore filtration method.
