Effect of the Mediterranean diet on gingivitis: A randomized controlled trial

Abstract

Within this study, gingival inflammatory parameters were significantly reduced by MD, whereas plaque parameters remained constant. The diet counselling achieved sufficient adherence with beneficial changes in weight loss and waist circumference.
