Optical and magnetic characterization of one-dimensional Cu(<scp>ii</scp>)-based perovskite: a high UV–Vis–NIR absorber

A 1-D Cu( ii )-based perovskite (C 5 H 8 N 3 )[CuCl 3 ], with gap energy “ E g ” of 2.21 eV, has been successfully investigated as a good UV–Vis–NIR absorber. The magnetic analysis suggests that this material can be described by the model of S = 1/2 AFM dimers.
