This paper presents a method for the development of galloping distribution maps. The number of galloping days and return period are utilized to deal with the problems of lack of operational experiences for those area without transmission lines, and let the proposed maps be suitable for transmission lines with different voltages. By employing the proposed method, the galloping distribution map can estimate the galloping probability of overhead transmission lines in a more reasonable and accurate manner.
