Abstract

Abstract In this paper, we introduce the notion of <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mo>(</mml:mo> <mml:mi>α</mml:mi> <mml:mo>,</mml:mo> <mml:mi>ψ</mml:mi> <mml:mo>,</mml:mo> <mml:mi>ξ</mml:mi> <mml:mo>)</mml:mo> </mml:math> -contractive multivalued mappings to generalize and extend the notion of α - ψ -contractive mappings to closed valued multifunctions. We investigate the existence of fixed points for such mappings. We also construct an example to show that our result is more general than the results of α - ψ -contractive closed valued multifunctions. MSC: 47H10, 54H25.
