Pygmephorus species (Acarina: Pyemotidae) associated with cultivated mushrooms

Abstract

The life-history of the two most important British species of Red Pepper Mites , Pygmephorus mesembrinae Canestrini and P. sellnicki Krczal, is described and figured. A key to the five Pygmephorus sp. known to be associated with commercial mushroom production is provided.
